In his role as US RI leader, Alex works with institutional investors to address ever-evolving sustainability challenges. Prior to joining Mercer, Alex was a senior vice president at Guy Carpenter where he founded and ran the firm's GC Micro Risk Solutions® division.

Jonathan Kochmer is co-founder and CIO of Synectify, a National University of Singapore incubated startup currently working on pandemic response supply chains and Green FinTech innovation. In his 40-year career he has been an Evolutionary Ecologist and Biostatistician (Yale, 1981-1989), Internet pioneer (NorthWestNet / National Science Foundation Network, 1989-1995), Information Architect (Amazon, 1996-2001), and professional musician (Two Loons for Tea, 2001-2009). He is proudest however of having been Director of Research and Development at Earth Economics (2011-2017), where he spearheaded fundraising for and creation of the Ecosystem Valuation Toolkit.
